An important part of community preparedness for flu outbreak is the planning done by the public school district. Eudora Schools leaders have collaborated with the Lawrence-Douglas County Health Department, as well as local community leaders, to develop a plan and set of procedures that will help students and staff stay healthy while maintaining the continuity of student learning to the greatest possible extent.

EKAN sponsors a weatherization program for the elderly, handicapped and low to moderate income residents, helping you save money on utility costs. Log on at www.eckan.org/Page585.htm to find out if you qualify or call City Hall at 785-542-2153 for more information.

Utilities handled by the City include electric, water, sewer and trash. A deposit of $150.00 is required prior to utility service being put into your name.

For your convenience, a 24 hour utility payment drop box is located on the east side of city hall. Do not deposit cash in drop box; checks or money orders are preferred.
